There are two things in this world that are certain - life and death. There is no way to escape either one. Many people fear death and choose not to think about it at all, I don't fear death I know it must happen sometime or another.

The thing I'm wondering is how it will happen, will I die peacefully in my sleep, savaged by wild African lions, slip on a banana skin, fall down a manhole, choke on a marshmallow, get hit by a car or simply laugh myself into the afterlife.

There are many ways to "get dead" some funny some sad but ultimately no matter how you go, we will all face the Reaper at some point in our journey. To lighten up the subject I have added 10 unusual and funny ways other people have gotten themselves into the afterlife. I'm sure even the Reaper himself had a chuckle at some of these.

1. Ivan Mc Guire, an experienced skydiver decided to film his latest jump 3,000m above North Carolina in 1988. Ivan remembered his camera but forgot his parachute!
2. A goalkeeper in Ghana was brought into the afterlife during a soccer match when the crossbar fell on his head - killing him instantly.
3. Roger Wallace from Arizona was killed when he managed to crash his radio - controlled aeroplane into his own head.
4. Nigerian Dictator Sani Abacha died of a heart attack caused by an Viagra overdose.
5. Tommy Cooper, a magician, died on stage during a live television performance. Most of the audience thought it was part of his routine.
6. Ray Washbrook decide to climb into an industrial tumble drier to remove some trapped linen, somehow he got himself trapped inside and was spun around for twenty minutes, he died.
7. Marc Bourjade was crushed to death when a pile of coffins at his shop fell on top of him. He was buried in one of the offending coffins.
8. There once was a chicken thief named Henri M'Bongo. He was caught by an angry mob who then forced him to eat a whole live chicken. He choked to death on feathers and chicken bones.
9. Three men were killed in Sudan when the Belgian air force dropped a food crate on top of them. The food was meant to save the Sudanese from starvation.
10. Alex Mitchell managed to laugh himself to death. A episode of The Goodies caused the 50 year old to laugh so hard it triggered a heart attack which killed him.
